Debbie Hewitt to become first female chair of FA

England's Football Association (FA) named Debbie Hewitt as its first woman chair yesterday.

 

News Center- Debbie Hewitt is set to become the first female chair of England’s Football Association (FA), which was formed in 1863.  She will become the first female chair of the FA in the organization's 157-year history. She will take up the role in January 2022 once formally ratified by the FA Council.

The FA Council will be asked to formally ratify Hewitt as the new chair at its next meeting on July 22. She was awarded an MBE for services to business and the public sector in 2011.
