Shehba – We spoke to the women of Shehba about recent ISIS attacks on Hesekê. Cihan Kose, a member of the Shehba Free Women's Assembly’s Education Committee, said that the aim of the latest attacks on Hesekê is to build the atmosphere of fear among people. Stating that women are on target in all attacks, Cihan Kose said, “Because they want to eliminate the Kurdish consciousness.”

“We don’t want to face another atrocity”

“Women in Shehba suffered from ISIS. ISIS members see women as slaves, they sold women. The Turkish state and ISIS have carried out inhuman practices not only in Shehba but also in occupied areas such as Afrin, Serêkaniye, and Girê Spi. As women of Shehba, we call on human rights organizations; to find a way to stop armed factions to enter NE Syria again. We don’t want to face another atrocity,” Şerin Elimo, member of the Shehba Free Women's Assembly, told JINHA.

“We will resist attacks”

“The Turkish state wants to revive ISIS in NE Syria,” Xezele Elo, another member of the Shehba Free Women's Assembly, said that the aim of the attacks on the Sina’a prison was to “destroy the security of the region. We, as the women of Shehba, will resist all attacks to prevent ISIS to revive.”
