Stayesh Amiri released on bail

Stayesh Amiri, a 17 year-old student from Laristan, who was arbitrarily detained for protesting the poisoning of schoolgirls, has been reportedly released from prison.

News Center- Stayesh Amiri, a 17-year-old student from Laristan was arbitrarily detained along with her father Ebrahim Amiri for protesting the poisoning of schoolgirls. She and her father have been released on bail after nearly four months detention in Adel Abad Prison in Shiraz.

Two other students named Erfaneh Honar, 19, and Setayesh Darougheh, 16, were also arrested along with Stayesh Amiri but were later released on bail.

According to the human rights organizations, Setayesh Amiri and her father were tortured to accept false allegations of having ties with “foreign media” and being involved in the “poisoning of students.”
