According to published reports, Leila Abolhasani, one of the detainees from the protests that took place in Iran earlier this year, was sentenced to death in Shahin Shahr, Isfahan, on charges of "Moharebeh." According to reports, the case file is currently awaiting review by the Supreme Court, after Leila Abolhasani filed an appeal against the verdict issued against her.

Leila Abolhasani, 43 years old, a mother of two teenage daughters, was arrested while filming a fire that broke out in one of the shops at the Koroush Complex. Her case was heard last May before the Fifth Branch of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Vahid Hemmatnejad, which sentenced her to death on charges of "Moharebeh."
