News Center_ The integration process, under the January 29 agreement between the Syrain Interim Government and the Syrian Democratic Forces, is witnessing notable progress, as joint committees discuss arrangements for unifying administrative and security structures within the framework of a political process aimed at building a sustainable cooperation formula between the two parties.

Following the meeting with a delegation from the Syrian Ministry of Interior, the General Command of the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) issued a statement on Thursday, August 27, stating: "On August 26, our leadership in the Women's Protection Units (YPJ) held a meeting with an official delegation from the Ministry of Interior of the Damascus Transitional Government. During the meeting, an extensive discussion was held regarding the issue of Syria's security and stability, in addition to the future of partnership and coordination between the two sides."

The statement affirmed that the main focus of the meeting was the future of the Women's Protection Units, where the possibility of integrating the units as a special and organized force within the structure of the Ministry of Interior was emphasized, noting that the meeting took place in a positive and constructive atmosphere.

The statement indicated that, as a continuation of the integration path within the framework of the January 29, 2026 agreement, "our meetings and discussions will continue during the coming period."
