At least 52 people detained in house raids conducted in Istanbul
At least 52 people, including journalists and members of the political parties, were detained in dawn house raids conducted in Istanbul on Tuesday.

Istanbul- Turkish police conducted dawn house raids in Istanbul on Tuesday, detaining at least 52 people, including the members of the People’s Democratic Congress (HDK), Democratic Regions Party (DBP) the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party), Labour Party (EMEP), Socialist Re-establishment Party (SYKP), Socialist Party of the Oppressed (ESP) and Green Left Party.
Detention warrants for 60 people
The house raids conducted against the HDK and detention warrants have been issued for 60 people in 10 cities as part of an investigation, the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office said in a statement, reporting that 52 people have been taken into custody so far.
Names of the people detained in the house raids are as follows: Aynur Cengiz, Melih Kayhan Pala and Esengül Demir, members of the HDK; Naci Dönmez, member of the Green Left Party; Sema Barbaros, Mustafa Mayda and Mehmet Turp, members of the EMEP; Semiha Şahin, member of the ESP; Atilla Özdoğan, Erkin Barın Göylüler and Hacı Aslan, members of the DBP; DEM Party Iğdır Co-chair Alya Akkuş; Halit Elçi, Mehmet Saltoğlu and Ahmet Saymadi, members of the SYKP; journalists Yıldız Tar, Ercüment Akdeniz and Elif Akgül; painter Taner Güven and musician and politician Pınar Aydınlar.
