9 women, girls kidnapped in Syria since beginning of February
Nine women and girls were kidnapped in different areas of Syria in the first half of February, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Sunday.

News Center-Syria has been suffering from a serious security crisis since the start of the civil war and the fall of the Assad regime.
At least nine women and girls were kidnapped or went missing in different areas of Syria between February 1 and February 15, 2025, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a Britain-based monitoring group, reported on Sunday.
The monitoring groups also prepared a list of the kidnapped women and girls. The list is a follows:
February 1: A young woman from the Jableh countryside was kidnapped, while she was heading to Jableh city.
February 1: A young woman from Safita was kidnapped, shortly after having left the grocery store in the evening.
February 2: A young woman from Jaramana in RIf Dimashq went missing, while she was heading to Damascus University.
February 3: A minor girl went missing in Homs countryside, while she was heading to buy bread.
February 3: A young woman from Al-Nayrab camp in Aleppo was kidnapped, while she was heading to the university.
February: 4: A woman from Jabourin village went missing, after having stepped out from a minibus in Homs city.
February 8: Communication was lost with a girl near Al-Huda pharmacy in Homs.
February 13: A student in the Faculty of Arts at Damascus University was kidnapped, while she was heading from the university towards Al-Muwasah hospital.
February 15: A Palestinian student went missing, while she was heading to register her name in 9th grade. The girl's family reported that the girl was kidnapped and the kidnappers asked for a ransom for her release.
