KJAR: April 4th Carries the Significance of an Intellectual Birth Beyond the Biological Dimension.
The Free Women's System of Eastern Kurdistan affirmed that April 4th marks Leader Öcalan's birthday and PJAK's 22nd anniversary, a day signifying intellectual birth beyond the biological dimension.
News Center— April 4th marks the birthday of Leader Abdullah Öcalan, an occasion that receives wide attention in Kurdish circles, who consider his birth a turning point in the course of the Kurdish cause and a symbol of the path of freedom and democracy.
The Free Women's System of Eastern Kurdistan (KJAR) issued a statement on Thursday, April 2nd, on the occasion of the birthday of Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the 22nd anniversary of the founding of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK).
The text of the statement read: "We celebrate on April 4th the 77th birthday of Leader Abdullah Öcalan and the 22nd anniversary of the founding of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK), and we remember all the martyrs. The founding of the party on this sacred day clearly shows that this is not merely a biological birthday, but at the same time it is the birth and revival of many beings that redefine the very meaning of life."
The statement pointed out that sometimes a single individual can change the entire course of history, and at other times, a single individual can redefine society. Every individual, every living being, is capable of making great and fundamental changes, first within themselves and then within their society. Of course, no being can make changes in isolation from their society. A being that carries within it great and beautiful meanings can give its society great meanings. When an individual can make radical changes in their consciousness—that is, think differently in their perspective and understanding of life—then their society becomes different as well.
The statement affirmed that the effort and sacrifice made by a pioneering individual for the values of their society is not something that every person can do. Not every individual carries within them great meanings or creates lasting values. Those who sacrifice themselves for their society, transcend their personal interests, and bear the responsibility of social interaction with a spirit of sacrifice are the true leaders and pioneers.
The statement explained that Leader Abdullah Öcalan is seen as a gift from the Mother Goddesses, who wanted the values of equality, love, and free life to remain rooted on this earth. Leader Öcalan is considered the most blessed and serious son of a Mother Goddess, as he bore great responsibility toward his society and contributed to reviving and consolidating its ancient culture.
The statement noted that Leader Öcalan's departure from Urfa, the cradle of culture, science, and faith, was not a fleeting step but came within a long historical context that witnessed repeated attempts to erase the traces of the Mother Goddesses who sparked the first spark of knowledge. Throughout the ages, authorities have sought to erase this heritage from people's memory, but Leader Öcalan proved that social memory cannot be erased, even if it is attacked or distorted; it continues and remains alive within the political and moral society. "Many historical studies show a continuous struggle between the forces of good and evil, a struggle reflected in the journey of peoples and their cultural heritage."
The statement added: "We live in an era of rulers whose true nature has been exposed; they still seek to distort society's memory with their hostile ideas. Each in their own way imposes new racist and sexual concepts on societies daily like poison. They are unaware that society is a living entity, even if it dries up, it can grow anew like a plant. The ideas and philosophy of Leader Öcalan have given Kurdish society the opportunity to grow anew on its deep historical roots."
The statement noted that first and foremost, for Kurdish women and for all women of the world, the birth of Leader Öcalan represents a symbol of strength and will. Women have felt their existence through the thought and philosophy of freedom proclaimed by Leader Öcalan. The philosophy of Leader Öcalan opened the door to all the restrictions that bound women, and women have reached the meaning of liberation. In women's culture, liberation symbolizes knowledge, strength, and will.
The KJAR affirmed in its statement that women seek moments of freedom amid the woes of war, plunder, and occupation. Today, forces have united again to plunge the world into darkness. Kurdish women are no longer forced to fight these wars as before, nor will they ever be. The courageous and conscious stance of Kurdish women against all kinds of regional and global reactionary forces is due to the ideas of Leader Öcalan. With the slogan "Women live freedom," Kurdish women have broken down barriers among themselves and connected with every woman whose heart beats with freedom. They have also connected with Iranian women because they too believe in freedom.
The statement emphasized that the women's freedom movement has brought about change everywhere. In Iran, this movement toppled the throne of a dictator and ended a thousand years of rule by a bloody, woman-hostile state. The women of Iran, inspired by the ideas and philosophy of Leader Öcalan, can liberate Iran—rich in science and philosophy—from the clutches of the oppressors. It noted that by uniting, protecting themselves, and organizing their ranks, women can crush what remains of this regime under their feet.
The Free Women's System of Eastern Kurdistan called on all women of Iran to participate in historic steps toward a women's freedom revolution, affirming that April 4th, which coincides with Nature and Environment Day, carries special symbolism with the spirit of women who have made their sacrifices in the winter of spring. "Women must weave a free life and shape a brighter future, making Iran's spring more beautiful and richer with hope."
The KJAR expressed its belief that Iranian women are capable of building a free and democratic Iran through their efforts and will, saluting the struggle and resistance of all women. It also extended congratulations to Kurdish, Lur, Azerbaijani, Baloch, Persian, Arab, Turkmen, and Mazanderani women on the occasion of the birthday of Leader Öcalan and the anniversary of the founding of the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK).
