Council of the Future Syria Party in Shehba and Afrin called on the government of Damascus to lift the embargo on Dera and Shehba and to implement the UN resolution for the Syrian crisis.

News Center- Council of the Future Syria Party in Shehba and Afrin issued a press statement regarding ongoing embargo imposed on Dera and Shehba and solution of the ongoing Syrian crisis with the participation of the members of Future Syria Party and other political parties.

Meryem Mihemed, deputy president of the Council of the Future Syria Party read the press statement. The reason for the continuation of the crisis in Syria is foreign intervention, the statement says, “The crisis is deepening due to the cupidity and disagreement of the regional and international states in Syria. There is an ongoing crisis in most of the regions in the south of Syria, particularly in Dera, Siwêda, Homs, and their rural areas. It is obvious that security and military solutions cannot solve the Syrian crisis. The solution is possible with national dialogue not with bombardment or embargo imposed by the Damascus government on Dera and Shehba cantons.”

The region is under blockage

In the statement, the Future Syria Party points out that the Syrian government has been blockading the region for more than two months and does not allow the delivery of basic needs such as medicine, food and fuel oil, “Turkish state shells the Shehba region every day. Their aim is to create fear among the people to force them leave their lands.”

“Solution is possible”

The Future Syria Party and other political parties say in the statement that “dialogue should be initiated in line with resolution 2254. Assad is issuing decentralized statements but his forces are blockading north and south Syria. This shows that Assad is not honest in solution for the Syrian crisis through dialogue. The solution for the Syrian crisis is possible by implementing Resolution 2254, adopting a new constitution and forming a new government that includes the peoples of Syria and all its components.”
