Iranian court upholds prison sentence against activist Fatemeh Sepehri

The Iranian regime's Revolutionary Court has upheld a 18-year prison sentence against political activist Fatemeh Sepehri.

News Center- Asghar Sepehri, brother of Fatemeh Sepehri, announced on his social media account that the Revolutionary Court of Mashhad has upheld the 18-year prison sentence against Fatemeh Sepehri. In February 2023, Fatemeh Sepehri was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of “propaganda activities against the state”, five years on charges of “cooperating with hostile countries”, two years for insulting Khamenei and one year for membership in opposition groups to disrupt national security.

“18-year prison sentence against my sister has been upheld,” said the social media post of Asghar Sepehri.

Fatemeh Sepehri was arrested on September 21, 2022 and taken to Mashhad Central Prison for supporting the Jin, Jiyan, Azadi uprising.
