She was a fighter who was at the forefront of the revolutionary struggle with her female identity. After her university education, she devoted herself entirely to politics. In a short time, she became one of the leaders of the socialist movement. Luxemburg and Karl Liebknecht co-founded the anti-war Spartacus League which eventually became the KPD. She drew the anger and hatred of the sovereign powers with her effective speeches and her writings having a unique style. She was put in prison many times. She was brutally killed by law enforcement on January 15, 1919, after the Spartacus uprising.
