Leyla Kenter dies at 70

Leyla Kenter, daughter of Yıldız Kenter, has died at 70 following a battle with cancer.

News Center- Leyla Kenter, daughter of actress and UNESCO goodwill ambassador Yıldız Kenter, has died at 70 following a battle with cancer. Gül Onat announced her death on her social media account. Leyla Kenter died on October 11 (Yesterday), on the birthday of her mother Yıldız Kenter.

“Dear Leyla, you have reunited with your mother. Rest in peace. I am really sad,” Gül Onat posted.

Who is Leyla Kenter?

Leyla Kenter was born March 29, 1952. She lived in Kenya for a while due to her job. After graduating from two faculties at Cambridge, Leyla Kenter started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. After returning to Turkey, she worked as a lecturer at Bilkent University. She was treated for cancer for a while. Leyla Kenter also starred in several TV series such as “Başlık Parası (Bride Price) (1973), “Fatma Bacı (Sister Fatma)” (1972), "Vahşi Çiçek (Wild Flower)" (1971) and “Anneler Ve Kızları (Mothers And Daughters)”.
