News Center— Amid growing criticism over the lack of clear progress in the case of young woman Gülıstan Doku's murder, which has remained unresolved for years, reports indicate continued attempts to mislead and conceal evidence, alongside demands to expand investigations to uncover the parties involved and ensure procedural transparency.

The Gülıstan Dokucase is progressing daily after years of investigation, with two suspects detained on charges of evidence tampering during an official search. According to JINNEWS, the Erzurum Chief Public Prosecutor's Office arrested two undercover agents assigned to the task by the then-Governor of Dersim, Tuncay Sönel, on charges of "altering evidence".

Investigators from the Crime Scene Investigation Unit of the Zarbit Security Directorate had found a piece of paper and scissors near the dam, presenting them as evidence. A police report from January 8, 2020, mentioned finding a prescription in the name of "Gülıstan Doku" and a note reading "We are under psychological pressure" near the Dinar Bridge.

However, an expert report refuted this narrative, stating that "a piece of paper cannot remain at a depth of 14 meters underwater but would float to the surface." The report later revealed the involvement of other assigned parties in the 220-day-long scheme that occupied public attention for months.

With the arrest of two of these individuals, the nature of the special policies surrounding the Gülıstan Dokucase has come to the fore once again, along with the attempts to mislead and conceal evidence throughout the investigation stages.
