Zenûbiya Women's Community announces final declaration of its second congress

Zenûbiya Women's Community has announced the final declaration of its second congress. Prevention of violence against women also includes in the final declaration.

News Center- The second congress of the Zenûbiya Women's Community held with the motto, “We will build a free-democratic society with women’s organization and will” has ended. Coordinating members of the community were elected at the congress held in Raqqa.

Final declaration of the congress

The community has announced the final declaration of its second congress. Recalling that Raqqa was liberated from ISIS on June 1, 2021, the declaration said that the community has carried out activities in Raqqa, Tabqa and Deir ez-Zor. “After a two-year struggle, we held our second congress. At the congress, we discussed the perspective and activities of the community,” the final declaration said.

The final declaration of the congress is as follows:

·         The struggle for the physical freedom of Leader Abdullah Öcalan must be strengthened, more actions and activities must be held.

·         The struggle against ongoing attacks of the invading Turkish state on North and East Syria, programs and protests will be held.

·         The struggle should be strengthened to prevent violence against women and to protect women from the patriarchal mentality.

·         Strengthening the co-presidency system, holding meetings and preparing programs are among the main duties of the community.

·         Campaigns must be launched to give information about ecology.

·         Campaigns must be launched to raise awareness about the health of women and children.

·         Vocational and ideological courses should be held in order to empower women in all spheres of life.

·         Courses should be held to empower women in politics and economy.
