Young people march in Hasakah: We will frustrate the attacks through our struggle

Young people held a march in Hasakah to protest the ongoing Turkish attacks. “We will frustrate the attacks through our struggle,” they said.

Hasakah- The Cizre Region Culture and Art Movement and the Cizre Region Revolutionary Youth Movement held a march in the Mifti district of Hasakah with the participation of hundreds of people to protest the ongoing Turkish attacks on their region. The people marching from the Kevok Square to the Culture and Art Center held a demonstration there.

“We will always continue to exist”

After a minute's silence, Ednan Îbrahim, co-chair of the Cizre Region Culture and Art Movement, made a speech. “Thanks to Öcalan's philosophy, today all peoples come together and find solutions to all problems. The states all around the world have united against this project of Öcalan. They want to silence the voice of freedom by imposing isolation upon leader Apo (Abdullah Öcalan). The Turkish state has been using chemical weapons in the Kurdistan Region today because it was defeated in the region before. It has attacked our region. States have decided to fight together against the existence of peoples, their aim is to save themselves from the crisis. If our absence preserves their existence, we will always continue to exist and we will frustrate their plans to occupy our region,” Ednan Îbrahim said.

“We will struggle against the plans of occupying powers”

Qehreman Hesekê, a member of the Cizre Region Revolutionary Youth Movement, also made a speech during the demonstration and said, “The unity of young people will frustrate the genocidal plans of the occupying powers. On the one hand, the siege of the government in Damascus and the threats and attacks of the occupying Turkish state continue, on the other hand, a wall is being built between Shengal and Rojava. These mean the refusal of the Self-Government system and the will of the people. We will keep struggling against the plans of the occupying powers.”

People participating in the march and demonstration shouted many slogans such as “Long live resistance” against the ongoing attacks.
