The North and East Syria Women’s Delegation met with Amnesty International in Germany.

“The North and East Syria Women’s Delegation’s meetings in Europe continue. This time, the delegation met with Amnesty International in Germany.

News Center – As part of its European tour, the North and East Syria Women’s Delegation held a meeting with Amnesty International in Germany.

During the meeting, crimes committed in Syria from the Ba’ath regime era until today were discussed, along with ways to combat impunity and to amplify the voices of victims at the international level. The delegation and Amnesty International representatives highlighted human rights violations committed against various groups in Syria, particularly the Alawite and Druze communities. Both sides emphasized the importance of documenting crimes that have gone unpunished and stressed the need to make efforts toward creating a joint mechanism and strengthening coordination in order to raise the voices of victims and prevent perpetrators from escaping justice.

The North and East Syria Women’s Delegation is composed of:

Emine Omer, Member of the Executive Board of the Syrian Women’s Council,  Muna El Yousif, Spokesperson of the Syrian Women’s Council,

Shahrazad El Casim, Spokesperson of the Zenobia Women’s Community, Jiyan Hesen, Member of the Kongra Star Coordination, Corcet Bersum, Spokesperson of the Syriac Women’s Union.

The delegation’s meetings in Europe will continue.
