Taliban close all educational institutions in Kandahar and Helmand
The Taliban’s Ministry of Education in Afghanistan has closed all educational centers and institutions providing education to girls in the provinces of Kandahar and Helmand until further notice.

According to the reports, the Taliban’s Ministry of Education has closed all educational centers and institutions supported by non-governmental groups in Kandahar and Helmand until further notice.
The centers and institutions are mostly for girls, who are banned from going to school beyond sixth grade. The ministry has announced that it ordered the closure of the educational centers and institutes after a committee reviews their activities.
Mutawakil Ahmad, the spokesperson for the Kandahar education department, confirmed that the activities of the educational centers and institutes are suspended until further notice. The decision was made after people’s complaints,” said Mutawakil Ahmad, without providing further details.
