Shahba - People all around the world continue to react to the killing of Mahsa (Jina) Amini by the Iranian morality police. Kongra Star and Hîlala Zêrîn organizations in the Afrin Region have released a statement condemning the killing of Mahsa Amini. The members of the organizations attended the press conference held in the Ehdas town of Shahba Canton. The statement was read by Kongra Star member Zîlan Sîdo.
“Women are killed in the name of Sharia”
“We do not accept any acts of violence against women and condemn them. Jina Amini was brutally killed. The mentality of Mullahs wants to kill women in the name of Sharia. A woman from Rojhelat was brutally killed because of her hair. Today, they want to destroy women’s bodies and personality under the excuse of sin. In the same week, an Armenian woman was brutally killed in the name of Sharia and her dead body was exhibited on social media platforms.
“We will respond to attacks”
“Women continue to be killed all around the world. We, as women’s organizations in Rojava, condemn such inhuman practices against women. As the voices of all women, we say no to violence and massacres. Against the brutality of fascism systems, we will respond to these attacks with the strength of women rising from the free mountains, the resistance of YJA Star. We will struggle against all kinds of attacks and guarantee women’s freedom. Jin Jiyan Azadi (Women, Life, Freedom).”
