Sit-in protest for justice continues on its 386th day
The Şenyaşar family has demanded justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse for their killed relatives for 386 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in Suruç by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, continues on its 386th day.
On the 386th day of their protest, the Şenyaşar family came in front of the courthouse from their house in the Suruç district in the morning to keep holding their protest. Speaking in front of the courthouse, Emine Şenyaşar said that several days later the month of Ramadan will start.
“We want to fast during Ramadan at home. My son has been held in solitary confinement for four years. We will stay here until justice is delivered. Their (government) fast is not accepted. How will Erdoğan break his fast with his children? How will his fast be accepted? How does Erdogan sleep comfortably? We have been sitting here for more than a year, doesn't he has a conscience? Doesn’t he believe in God? Erdoğan knows what we have experienced. He knows my children were innocent but killed. Why are those who killed my children free while my son has been held in prison for four years?”
“End these injustice practices”
The Şenyaşar family also posted a tweet today and said, “The greatest punishment is the twinge of conscience, if you don't want to suffer, end these injustice practices. An MP of the ruling party killed three people at the hospital. There is not a single arrestee! Those who cause this lawlessness will lose.”
