RJAK: The Turkish state attacks Shengal with the mentality of ISIS
Releasing a statement on the anniversary of the genocide against Yazidis, the Kurdistan Free Women's Movement (RJAK) said, “Since the defeat of the ISIS, the Turkish state has attacked Shengal (Sinjar) with the same mentality.”
News Center- The Kurdistan Free Women's Movement (RJAK) has released a statement on the anniversary of the genocide committed against the Yazidi community by ISIS on August 3, 2014.
“The liberation of Shengal by the YJŞ (Shengal Women’s Units) and the YBŞ (Shengal Resistance Units) has paved the way for the return of thousands of women to their home, the development of the self-government system and the emergence of a strong leadership of women in Shengal,” said the statement.
The statement also highlighted the ongoing Turkish attacks on Shengal. “Today, Shengal is targeted by the attacks of the Turkish state with the same mentality of ISIS. As RJAK, we commemorate the martyrs of the 3 August and promise to strengthen our struggle.”
