Prison sentence given to Aysel Tuğluk suspended

The Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has suspended the 10-year prison sentence given to Aysel Tuğluk for a year for her health problems.

News Center- The Kocaeli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has suspended the 10-year prison sentence given to Kurdish politician and lawyer Aysel Tuğluk due to her health problems.

Aysel Tuğluk, who has been suffering from dementia, was released from Kandıra No. 1 F Type Closed Prison on October 27 after the Forensic Medicine Institution (ATK) reported that she cannot stay in prison. Aysel Tuğluk was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of “propagandizing for a terrorist organization”.
