Mother of political prisoner Zeynab Jalalian summoned to testify
Gozel Jalalian, the mother of political prisoner Zeynab Jalalian, has been reportedly summoned to testify by the Iranian Intelligence Agency in Maku after she called on the international community to see her daughter.
News Center - Kurdish politician prisoner Zeynab Jalalian was sentenced to death by an Iranian court in 2008 but the Supreme Court of Iran reduced her sentence to life imprisonment in 2010 due to the pressure of the world's public opinion. She was transferred to the prison in Yazd, Kermanshah prison, Urmia prison, and finally to the prison in Yazd. Since her exile to the prison in Yazd, no information has been received from her. Her mother Gozel Jalalian has been reportedly summoned to testify by the Iranian Intelligence Agency in Maku after she spoke for the first time about the condition of her jailed daughter.
Yesterday, a video spread on social media platforms. In the video, Gozel Jalalian calls on the international community to help her in order to see her daughter. “My daughter has been behind bars for 15 years and I haven’t seen her for 15 years. No one is allowed to visit her. I am her mother and I want to see her. I call on the international community to find a solution for us. I don’t know where she has been held,” she says in the video.
Gozel Jalalian has been reportedly summoned to testify by the Iranian Intelligence Agency in Maku city after the spread of the video on social media platforms.
