Mitra Nasır whose brother killed by Taliban: ‘I will always hate the Taliban’

Mitra Nasır’s brother was killed by the Taliban and her mother died after losing her son. “I will never forgive the Taliban and I will always hate the Taliban,” she said.

 Herat- After the United States and the Taliban signed an agreement in Qatar’s capital Doha, conflicts broke out in districts and provinces which were not controlled by the Taliban. Then, the Taliban took control of all districts and provinces by killing thousands. Mitra Nasır’s brother Mustafa was one of the people killed by the Taliban.

“My brother Mustafa Nasır was killed by members of the Taliban in the city of Herat. My mother could not get over losing her son. My brother was engaged and his wedding was two months later. However, we lost him before the wedding,” said Mitra Nasır, who lost her mother after losing her brother. “My mother was in pain after losing her son. She was always in tears. She died on the second anniversary of my brother's martyrdom.”

‘I will never forgive the Taliban’

‘I will always hate the Taliban,” Mitra Nasır said, “The Taliban killed my brother and my mother. I will never forgive the Taliban and forget what I have experienced.”
