Morocco- Both Minister of Health and Mayor of Casablanca, Nabila Rmili resigned as Minister of Health to focus on her position as mayor, according to the statement issued by the Moroccan Royal Courts yesterday, Thursday. Khalid Aït Taleb has been appointed as the new Minister of Health, the statement says.

The statement indicates that 47-year-old Nabila Rmili “submitted a petition to devote herself fully to her duties as mayor of the city of Casablanca.”

Despite her resignation, women still play an important role in the new cabinet headed by Aziz Akhannouch.
