News Center- Women's Platform for Equality (Eşitlik İçin Kadın Platformu-EŞİK) has launched a new campaign called, “Just implement laws”. The platform announced its new campaign during a virtual meeting with the participation of many women. At the meeting, a time chart showing the attacks on women’s gains in the last 10 years was shared with women.  

EŞİK member Sevilay Çelenk made a speech at the meeting and said:

“EŞİK brings more than 300 women’s organizations and 300 LGBTI+ together today to protect women and the Istanbul Convention through legal channels. As EŞİK, we announce our new campaign. We do not want to be caught unprepared for issues such as 6284, TCK 103, and alimony, which will be reportedly brought to Parliament under the name of reform in the new legislative year. We are determined to strengthen our struggle by using every opportunity without wasting a minute. We say, “Don’t amend the current laws, just implement them”. Every law amendment has resulted in destroying our gains until now. Our 20-year experiences with the AKP-MHP coalition show this. We call on all segments of society to struggle.”
