Magnitude 5.1 earthquake shakes northwest Turkey

A magnitude 5.1 struck northwest Turkey on Monday. The earthquake was felt in Bursa, Istanbul and other cities.

News Center- A magnitude 5.1 struck northwest Turkey on Monday at 10:42 a.m. at a depth of 8.98 kilometers. The earthquake was centered in the Sea of Marmara, off the town of Gemlik in Bursa province, according to the AFAD, Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority.

The earthquake was felt in Bursa, Istanbul and surrounding cities.
