Lawyers prevented from being in solidarity with Şenyaşar family

The lawyers, who wanted to be in solidarity with the Şenyaşar family, were not allowed to go in front of the Ministry of Justice.

Ankara- Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of former AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in Pirsûs (Turkish: Suruç) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018 and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, MP of the Green Left Party, have been seeking justice in Ankara for 25 days.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar, who went to the Turkish Parliament with a wheelchair due to her health problems, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar held a march from the Dikmen Gate of the Turkish Parliament to the building of Turkey’s Ministry of Justice. The family was not allowed to enter the building again. The lawyers of the Progressive Lawyers Association (ÇHD) tried to go in front of the building to be in solidarity with the Şenyaşar family; however, police did not allow them.
