Jinnews: 36 women and 6 children were killed in November

In November, 36 women and six children were killed, 23 more women died under suspicious circumstances in Turkey, according to the report released by Jinnews, an all-women news agency based in Amed (Diyarbakır).

The report said that women were targeted by both the government and men while growing their solidarity with each other. “There was an increase in gender-based violence in the cities affected by the February 6 earthquakes. Due to the lack of mechanisms preventing violence, the survivors of violence could not make their voices heard,” the report said.
