Iran sentences Narges Mohammadi to additional prison term

Iran's Revolutionary Court has sentenced Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi to an additional 15 months in prison.

News Center- Iran’s Revolutionary Court has sentenced Nobel Peace Prize winner Narges Mohammadi to an additional 15 months in prison on charges of “spreading propaganda against the  Islamic Republic of Iran”.

Narges Mohammadi has also been banned from traveling abroad for two years, barred from membership of political and social groups and from having a mobile phone for the same duration.

Narges Mohammadi has been arrested 13 times and sentenced to a total of 31 years in prison. She has already spent 12 years in prison serving multiple sentences. She won the 2023 Nobel Peace Prize for her work fighting against the oppression of women in Iran.
