“If we are all in the same boat, why does this oppression continue?”

The Şenyaşar family posted a photo showing Emine Erdoğan and Emine Şenyaşar and asked, “Are these two mothers in the same boat?”

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in the Suruç district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 471st day.

Today, Emine Şenyaşar is demanding justice from her home in Suruç due to her health problems while her son Ferit Şenyaşar is demanding justice in front of the Urfa Courthouse.

Referring to the speech of AKP leader and President Tayyip Erdoğan at the 56th anniversary celebration of the Turkish Constitutional Court on April 25, 2018, the Şenyaşar family posted the following message on their social media account:

“A mother has been shedding tears day and night in front of the Urfa Courthouse in yearning for justice for four years. It is impossible not to agree with the President’s speech saying; ‘If yearning for justice is expressed too much in a place, this means there is an oppression there. The name of this system is called the system of oppression not the system of justice’. If we are all in the same boat, why does this oppression continue?”
