Gültan Kışanak lays her sister to rest

Gültan Kışanak, who was brought to Elazığ from Kandıra F-type Prison today to attend the funeral of her sister Zeynep Özer, laid her sister to rest.

Xarpêt (Harput)- After the request of Gültan Kışanak, former Co-mayor of the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality who has been held in the Kandıra F-type Prison, to attend the funeral of her sister Zeynep Özer was accepted, she was brought to the Xarpêt town of Elazığ province.

 Gültan Kışanak attended the funeral ceremony held at the Ehli Beyt Cemevi located in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of Xarpêt. The funeral ceremony was attended by many people, including Party of the Greens and the Left Future (Green Left Party) MPs Ayten Kordu and Celal Fırat, Green Left Party Amed (Diyarbakır) Co-spokesperson Pınar Sakık Tekin, Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) members Alican Önlü, Çağlar Demirel and activists from the Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA).

She laid her sister to rest

After the funeral ceremony, Zeynep Özer was buried in the village of Sün. Gültan Kışanak laid her sister to rest.

Gültan Kışanak will be taken back to the Kandıra F-type Prison today at 4 pm.
