News Center- Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Batman MP Feleknas Uca issued a press statement to celebrate all Yazidis’ Cêjna Êzî (Feast of Ezid).

In the statement, she said, “Despite exile and genocide, Yazidis are trying to build a new life for themselves in Shengal today. Although they don’t pose any danger for Turkey, they are attacked by Turkey every day. Civilians, people’s assemblies hospitals, schools are targeted and attacked. Today, Turkish-backed jihadists carry out attacks on Afrin just as ISIS killed and abducted women and girls in 2014.”

Stating that Cêjna Êzî is an important feast for the Yazidi community, Feleknas Uca said that Yazidi people, especially the Yazidis living in Shengal celebrate this feast with a heavy heart this year. Feleknas Uca said, “I celebrate all Yazidis’ Cejna Êzî with the hope that all abducted women will be saved from ISIS.”
