News Center — “Peace and Democratic Society” Conference in Istanbul Highlights Öcalan’s Ideas

The international “Peace and Democratic Society” conference in Istanbul will provide an important opportunity for the global arena to learn about and highlight the ideas and views of leader Abdullah Öcalan, amid growing interest in his call.

The co-chair of the Foreign Relations Department of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Elham Ahmed, was invited by the vice co-chair of the DEM Party to participate in a conference on Öcalan’s call, titled “Peace and Democratic Society,” scheduled for December 6–7.

Intensive efforts are underway to ensure Elham Ahmed’s participation in the conference. If conditions are met and legal obstacles are removed, she will participate on behalf of the Democratic Autonomous Administration. If she is unable to attend in person, she will deliver a message or participate via video call. A number of other prominent figures and celebrities will also participate in the same way, though their names have not yet been disclosed
