Elaha Kul Mohammadi Grants Iran Its First Women's Gold in Asian Deaf Competitions

Iranian athlete Elaha Kul Mohammadi achieved a historic accomplishment by granting her country the first women's gold medal in the 2026 Asian Deaf Athletics Championship held in Malaysia, after seizing first place in the discus throw competition.

NEWS CENTER – The athletics competitions within the 2026 Asia-Pacific Multi-Sport Deaf Championship launched on the third of October and end on the tenth of the same month in Penang city, Malaysia, organized by the Asia-Pacific Deaf Sports Federation in cooperation with the Malaysian Deaf Sports Association.

Iranian athlete Elaha Kul Mohammadi achieved a historic accomplishment by granting her country the first women's gold medal in the 2026 Asian Deaf Athletics Championship held in the Malaysian city of Penang.

During the competitions, Elaha Kul Mohammadi succeeded in seizing first place in the discus throw competition after recording a throw that reached a distance of 35 meters and 21 centimeters.

This victory represents Iran's first women's gold in this season of the Asian Championship, whose events are being held within the Asia-Pacific Championship, and which continues until the tenth of October.
