Dicle Müftüoğlu nominated for Most Resilient Journalist Award
Journalist Dicle Müftüoğlu, who has been held in pre-trial detention in the Sincan Women’s Closed Prison, has been nominated for the Most Resilient Journalist Award given by the Free Press Unlimited.
News Center- Journalist Dicle Müftüoğlu, who has been held in pre-trial detention in the Sincan Women’s Closed Prison since May 3, 2023, has been nominated for the Most Resilient Journalist Award given by the Free Press Unlimited.
Journalist Andersson Boscán from Ecuador and journalist Philip Obaji from Nigeria have also been nominated for the award. The winner of the award will be announced on October 24.
Journalist Dicle Müftüoğlu, Co-chair of the Dicle Fırat Journalists’ Association, was detained on April 29 as part of an investigation launched in Ankara. She was sent to prison on May 3, the World Press Freedom Day. She has been held in pre-trial detention since then.
