Crimes against women, children in occupied regions increase

People living in the city of al-Bab pointing to the crimes committed by Turkey and its paramilitary groups against women and children noted that the armed groups trade and smuggle drugs in the occupied regions.

Manbij - The number of crimes committed against women in the regions occupied by Turkey has been increasing. According to local sources, the number of killed women increased in the city of al-Bab in May. Woman committed suicide in the occupied village of Ihtimlat, east of Azaz, a woman’s dead body was found on a road of al-Bab and a 35-year-old woman was killed by security forces in the city of al-Bab, according to the local sources.

Children are sexually assaulted

A 40-year-old man sexually assaulted a displaced child from Palmyra (Tadmur) and the leader of an armed group sexually assaulted a displaced child from Humsê, the local sources reported.

Soldier released although he confessed

The release of a Turkish soldier, who confessed to killing people and raping two women sparked protests in al-Bab. Al-Bab Military Council Press Office announced on its official website that the protests against the crimes being committed by Turkey and Turkish-backed factions still continue. In the statement, the press office also reported that the armed groups trade and smuggle drugs in the occupied regions.
