At least 56 Baloch children killed in Iran since 2017
At least 56 Baloch children have been killed by Iran’s security forces since 2017, the Baloch Activists Campaign (BAC) said in a statement on Thursday.

News Center- At least 56 Baloch children under the age of 18 have been killed and 30 others injured by Iran’s security forces since 2017, the Baloch Activists Campaign (BAC) said Thursday in a statement on social media platform X.
Most children killed by security forces were under the age of 10, according to the Baloch Activists Campaign, a human rights organization that documents violations of the Baloch minority rights in Iran.
“These figures show that the killing and wounding of Baloch children in the past seven years is a humanitarian crisis that requires the urgent attention of the international community and human rights organizations. The violation of the rights of Baloch children is a humanitarian crisis,” said the statement.
In the statement, the organization reminds that Iran has already ratified the Convention on the Rights of the Child. “States parties are obliged to protect every child’s right to life. Article 6 of the convention states that all states parties recognize that every child has the inherent right to life and shall ensure to the maximum extent possible the survival and development of the child. Article 37 states that states parties shall ensure that no child shall be subjected to torture or other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Targeting Baloch children is a violation committed by the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
On February 24, 2025, a 5-year-old child identified as Yousef Shahli-Bor from Iranshahr was killed and her mother was injured by gunfire from the special forces unit of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Iranshahr, Sistan and Baluchestan province, the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights reported on Wednesday.
