Air pollution shuts schools, universities in Iran

In Iran’s Mashhad city, schools and universities have been closed due to air pollution.

News Center- Yesterday, the Commission of Air Pollution Emergency in Iran’s Ravazi Khorasan province released a writing statement on air pollution in the city of Mashhad.

The statement said that schools and gyms in the city of Mashhad were closed and it called on the people, especially patients with heart and respiratory diseases, to stay at their homes. According to the statement, air pollution in Mashhad is at the level of 302 micrograms/cubic meter due to the dust storm. In the statement, the citizens were advised to use facemasks if they go out.

In addition, train services were canceled in the city due to the dust storm.
