Şenyaşar family seeks justice for 738 days

“We are here, we will change this unjust system together,” said the Şenyaşar family on the 738th day of their sit-in protest for justice.

Riha - The sit-in protest held in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were murdered in the attack carried out by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız in Pirsûs (Turkish: Suruç) district of Urfa province on June 14, 2018, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar continues on its 738th day.

In the morning, Emine Şenyaşar and her son Ferit Şenyaşar came in front of the courthouse to seek justice again by unfurling their banner reading, “Justice for the Şenyaşar family”.

“Law and justice have been trampled underfoot in the country. Everyone, who has no financial advantage with the ruling party, stands by the struggle of the mother (Emine Şenyaşar). We are here, we will change this unjust system together,” said today’s social media post of the Şenyaşar family.
