Şenyaşar family’s sit-in protest enters its 403rd day
Emine Şenyaşar and her son FeritŞenyalar have demanded justice for their murdered relatives in front of the Urfa Courthouse for 403 days.
Riha - The sit-in protest, also known as “Justice Watch”, started in front of the Urfa Courthouse by Emine Şenyaşar, whose husband and two sons were killed in the attack carried out on June 14, 2018, in the Suruç district of Urfa province by the relatives and bodyguards of AKP Urfa MP İbrahim Halil Yıldız, and her son Ferit Şenyaşar, who survived the attack, has continued on its 403rd day.
On the 403rd day of their sit-in protest, the family members left their home in the Suruç district in the morning in order to hold their sit-in protest in front of the Urfa Courthouse.
“Struggling against injustice is difficult but those who don’t struggle against injustice lose their dignity and their rights. We will not allow them to legitimatize injustices in front of the Şanlıurfa Courthouse,” the Şenyaşar family posted today on their social media account.
