They issued a statement on the highway
The Şenyaşar family issued a statement on the Suruç-Urfa highway on the 352nd day of their sit-in protest to draw attention to the difficulties they have faced on their way from Suruç to Urfa city center. The family hung a banner reading,” Justice for the Şenyaşar family” with the photos of father Hacı Esvet Şenyaşar and his sons Adil and Celal, who were killed at the Suruç State Hospital.
"Enough is enough"
“We will keep holding our protest until my child is released. For a year, we have traveled on the Suruç-Urfa highway. My son is being held as a hostage. They should release my son so that we can sit at home. Why aren't the perpetrators arrested? What kind of justice is this? Enough is enough. Do you call this justice?” Emine Şenyaşar said.
"End this persecution"
“The authorities should end this persecution that continues through the judiciary. If the persecution continues, this banner will not be removed at the entrance of Urfa. This banner should be the shame of all the authorities keeping silent in Urfa,” the Şenyaşar family posted on their social media account.
