Qamishlo_ Amid daily life in the city of Qamishlo, Rojava, young women move forward with small steps but big goals toward developing society. Among them is young woman Rola Daoud, who opened a private center for children where children do not only learn reading and writing, but also receive help and special training for children facing speech difficulties.

The center also constitutes a place of comfort and safety for working mother, as they can leave their children and continue their work at the same time, In this way, the center has become a place where education, safety, and support services are provided for children.

Every endeavor has its difficulties and challenges, yet these difficulties have not deprived Rola Daoud, 23, who manages the center, of her desire to continue supporting this group of children.

She explained that the center receives children aged between two and seven, noting that the center combines education and entertainment and adopts an innovative approach in delivering knowledge: "We teach children to read through games, so that information reaches them in an easy way and remains firmly in their minds for a longer period."

The center also helps children facing speech difficulties: "For children who have speech difficulties, a special approach is followed in dealing with them, and greater attention is given to communication. We try to connect these children with reading, so that this problem does not affect their psychological state. Therefore, we read letters aloud, and through this method, children learn better and more easily."

Specialists with a High Level of Childcare

This process is like construction that needs a solid foundation. Therefore, those responsible for teaching children possess a high level of childcare, while also reassuring mothers about their children during their work: "Our work system is from eight in the morning until twelve noon, and from twelve noon until four in the afternoon. We also have a system for special hours. That is, if a mother has work after four in the afternoon, she can leave her children with us comfortably and reassured."

She added: "In this center, there are specialized caregivers who possess a high level in the field of childcare and education. They care for the children attentively, and parents express their happiness with the services we provide and show their support for the center."

"We Are Attentive to All Details"

Rola Daoud said that the responsibility of children is a very difficult task: "We are attentive to all their details. Anything we know could harm the children, we keep away from the center and do not allow to enter it. The caregivers also do not leave the children without care even for a minute; they remain with them always."

Regarding the center's future, she explained that she intends in the future to offer many things she described as "beautiful and interesting," and will include teachers specialized in the Kurdish language, because "it is important for children to learn in their mother tongue and grow up on this basis."

She described children's minds as a white page: "Whatever we raise and teach them, they will learn in this way. Therefore, it is essential that every father and mother raise their children from an early age on good things, and introduce them to the importance of reading and education."
