Moroccan women hold march to support Palestinian women

Women from different sects and groups participating in the march in Morocco express their solidarity with Palestinian women, who are subjected to genocidal attacks and violence.

Morocco- Yesterday, people from many countries held demonstrations to protest Israel's continued attacks on the besieged Gaza strip, which has entered its 10th day. Morocco was one of the countries where demonstrations were held.

Thousands gathering in Rabat on Sunday condemned the ongoing Israel’s attacks targeting civilians by holding Palestinian and Moroccan flags, and pictures of Al-Aqsa Mosque and chanting slogans supporting Palestinian people. NuJINHA spoke to women participating in the march. Stressing that Israel has violated d international conventions by committing war crimes in the Gaza Strip, the women called on the international community to stop Israel’s attacks targeting civilians and demanded the lift of siege on the Gaza Strip and restore power and allow water and fuel into the Gaza Strip.

‘The occupation must end now’

Amina Sabeel, one of the women participating in the march, said, “As Moroccan women, we participate in this march because we defend the Palestinian cause. Justice must be provided for the Palestinian people. The occupation of Palestine must end now.”

‘We condemn all forms of violence against Palestinian people’

Khadija Musadel expressed her support and solidarity to Palestinian people. “Our hearts are with Palestinian people, especially the residents of Gaza, who are under bombardments. Israel’s attacks are genocidal attacks. We condemn all forms of violence against Palestinian people,” she said.

Pointing to the international silence against the suffering of the Palestinian people, she said, “Palestinian people have been subjected to all kinds of torture for years. As women, we participate in the march against injustice faced by Palestinian people to show the world that we are united. We say no to Israel’s attacks on the people of Gaza. We call on the international community to stand with the Palestinian people.”
