TJA sets up tent to provide psychological support to women and children affected by earthquake
The Free Women’s Movement (TJA) has set up a tent called ‘Tent of life’ in Pazarcık district of Maraş to provide psychological support to women and children affected by the earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023.
Maraş- Two major earthquakes that took place in Maraş on February 6, 2023 have killed tens of thousands of people and damaged thousands of buildings. The volunteers continue to support earthquake victims with their own means. The Free Women’s Movement (Kurdish: Tevgera Jinên Azad-TJA) has set up a tent called ‘Tent of life’ in the Hasankoca village of Maraş’s Pazarcık district to provide psychological support to women and children affected by the earthquakes.
Call for solidarity
Saliha Ayata, an activist of the TJA, called on all women to be in solidarity with the earthquake victims. “We have been here for 10 days. We have already provided a living space for women. Now, we set up a tent to provide psychological support to women and children. We expect solidarity from everyone, particularly from women. Jin jiyan azadî,” she said.
