Thousands of Signatures for the ‘I Want to Meet with Öcalan’ Campaign
In North and East Syria, 2,541 signatures collected within the framework of the ‘I Want to Meet with Abdullah Öcalan’ campaign were sent to the responsible institutions.

News Center – Within the framework of the globally launched ‘I Want to Meet with Öcalan’ campaign for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan, 2,541 signatures were sent to the United Nations (UN) Secretary-General, the Committee for the Prevention of Torture (CPT), the European Union Council, the Human Rights Council, and the Turkish Ministry of Justice.
The ‘Syrian Initiative for the Freedom of Abdullah Öcalan’ and the ‘Syrian Initiative of Lawyers for the Defense of Abdullah Öcalan’ announced in their statement that 2,541 human rights activists, academics, politicians, intellectuals, tribal leaders, religious scholars, doctors, engineers, and representatives from various communities in North and East Syria, as well as from different regions of Syria (Damascus, Aleppo, Latakia, Tartus, Homs, Daraa, Quneitra, Sweida, and Idlib), including Kurds, Arabs, Syriacs, Armenians, Yazidis, Turkmens, Circassians, and members of different Islamic sects (Sunni, Alawite, Ismaili, and Druze), participated in the campaign.
