Taliban ban women doctors from taking medical expert exams
The Taliban have announced that women doctors will not be allowed to take medical expert exams and that male doctors will be recruited to positions in hospitals.
Kabul- The Taliban have issued many bans against women and girls since 2021. Despite these bans, women resist by taking to the streets.
Previously, the Taliban banned girls and women from attending schools and universities. The Taliban have reportedly announced that women doctors will not be allowed to take medical expert exams held by the Ministry of Public Health and that male doctors will be recruited to positions in hospitals.
According to the local sources, only male doctors took the medical expert exams held in 12 provinces by the Taliban’s Ministry of Public Health. The ban has sparked anger on social media.
