Jineology Academy’s member Malda Kosar commemorated in Hasakah
Malda Kosar, who was a member of the Jineology Academy who was killed by ISIS in 2019, was commemorated in al-Hol town of Hasakah on the fourth anniversary of her murder.
Hasakah-Malda Kosar, who was a member of the Jineology Academy, was killed by ISIS on May 5, 2019 while going to al-Hol town of Hasakah. On the fourth anniversary of her death, a commemoration ceremony was held in the Şerciyê Cemetery with the participation of the members of NGOs, Jineology Academy and Kongra Star.
‘She made efforts for women to live in a free society’
After a minute’s silence, women made speeches about the efforts of Malda Kosar in Jineology. Rozîf Ehmed, a member of the Jineology Academy in Hasakah Canton, was one of the women who made speeches. Expressing her condolences to Malda Kosar’s family and relatives, Rozîf Ehmed said:
“We commemorate all the martyrs of freedom in the person of martyr Malda Kosar. Martyr Malda is a martyr of the women's struggle for freedom. Although she was a young woman, she made great efforts. She made efforts for women to live in a free society. Martyr Malda had a strong personality and worked every day for social science. She was always active to raise awareness of free women. Today, we follow the path of our comrade and we will grow our struggle and resistance to realize her goals.”
‘She worked to spread the concept of the free women’
In her speech, Nîda Salih, a coordinating member of Kongra Star, emphasized that the concept and philosophy of the free women have spread among women thanks to the efforts of Malda Kosar and her comrades. “Today, the philosophy of 'Jin, Jiyan, Azadi' has become a global slogan for all women thanks to the efforts of fighters like Martyr Malda and thousands of freedom martyrs. Having a free and successful life is not easy; we pay a high price to have a free life. Long live free women.”
