March in Makhmur
Thousands of people living in the Makhmur refugee camp held a march to protest the use of chemical weapons against the Kurdish fighters by the Turkish state. The march started in front of the building of the Association of Martyrs' Families and ended in front of the UN office.
Gülizar Şen, one of the protesters, said, “The Turkish state attacked our children by using chemical weapons and poisonous gas and 17 of our heroic guerrillas were martyred in this attack. Erdoğan and Bahçeli are vampires drinking the blood of the Kurds. We call on the international organizations to break their silence.”
Helîm Bulut also participated in the march to protest the use of chemical weapons. “The use of chemical weapons are banned all over the world but they are legitimized when they are used in Kurdistan,” she said, “The international community remains silent against the use of chemical weapons, which are banned all over the world. Why does the international community remain silent? Why don't they stop the use of chemical weapons?” Helîm Bulut called on the international organizations to fulfill their duty and stop the use of chemical weapons.
