As-Sweida_The city of Sweida is witnessing a notable escalation in cases of security breakdown, as mysterious murders recur amid a clear absence of security authorities, which heightens residents’ fears and deepens the sense of instability.

Thirty-five-year-old young woman Nariman Kanj Shibli Azzam was killed in the city of Sweida after being subjected to direct gunfire while standing in front of her home on Sunday, June 14. Unidentified assailants in a black Hyundai Avanti car fired several bullets that struck her in various parts of her body, leading to her death before she reached the national hospital.

According to an eyewitness account, a passerby rushed to her aid and transported her to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries. A security source stated that the circumstances of the crime remain unclear, affirming that the competent authorities have launched an investigation and opened an official case file to identify the perpetrators and uncover the motives behind the incident.
