Iranian political prisoner Zohreh Sarv on hunger strike for 5 days

Iranian political prisoner Zohreh Sarv has been on a hunger strike for five days to protest her denial of medical care.

News Center- Iranian political prisoner Zohreh Sarv has been on a hunger strike in Evin prison for five days to protest her denial of medical care.

The political prisoner started her hunger strike after the prison authorities prevented her from receiving hospital treatment for a torn meniscus for several weeks. According to reports, Zohreh Sarv consumes only “water, sugar and salt” and she will refuse to consume sugar and salt as of today (November 28) if her demands have not been met.

Zohreh Sarv has been serving a six-year prison term since October 2021 on charges of “gathering and colluding against national security” and “propaganda against the system”.
